A journey. Like in the movie, Eat, Pray, Love. But real, my journey.

Is it a journey that starts with nothingness? With brokenness. Craving more out of your life?

With hope for a B-I-G life?

I decided to launch my own “Eat, Pray, Love” (EPL) journey. Similar reasons. Same goals. I didn’t intentionally follow the movie’s path. But, somehow I did anyway. My travels have taken me to the same countries, like in the movie. I’ve been to Italy, India (twice) and now Bali! Each country, each experience unlike anything I could have expected. Oh, the soul-searching. The deep meditations. Sharing practices in yoga communities. Journaling. And so much more. And, now I can see how wonderful this experience has been. Better than anything I could have expected. So much better. So much personal growth.

After two years on the road, on my last full day in Bali I went to Padang-Padang beach.

In the movie version of EPL, Padang-Padang beach symbolizes the transition that’s called Attraversiamo for Liz, the movie’s leading lady. Where she stops playing safe. Stops playing small. She gives all for love.

Self-love. BIG love. Love for others. Love for all the bits that make up who she is. All the bits that are, in truth, parts of god, of the universe, of her!

She loses her life-long identity of self. And finds a new and true life based on Love. A life where Love is the guiding principle and the end-game. She finds balance.  Balance in the seeking, finding and giving.

I am a seeker. But, I am also a finder.

Yes, I am seeking. But, at last- I am finding balance. Just like in the movie.

Today, on the beach in Bali I feel this excitement bubbling up. I have discovered truths of my own. Many of the same truths as in the movie. Yes, that’s true. Balance and Love. Wow. It will be a life-long gift from my travels, my journey.

My current journey feels complete, and I have given my all to be a seeker. As I reflect on this, I realize the journey is not a ‘one-and’done’ thing. It will go on, for the rest of my life. I will evolve, learn and deepen my understanding of life’s mysteries. But, on this journey, here’s what I've discovered…

Love is no longer simply an external thing. It’s an all around experience. Attraversiamo. Crossed over to love. For love. With love. Being Love itself.

I'm so grateful to be on this path. This journey. Sometimes criss-crossing. Sometimes crossing over. To love. May you find your own path to Seek, Find and ultimately to Love.
